Youth Ministry
Youth Ministry at CrossTrail encompasses students from 6th through 12th grade. These are pivotal years in which they make important discoveries about themselves and God and make decisions that will shape who they become.
Our objective is to help them make their faith their own and become passionate followers of Jesus who themselves make disciples of their friends.
Our goals towards that end are:
- to provide a safe and healthy community to ask questions, resolve doubts, and feel a sense of belonging
- to give them the tools to dive deeper into the Scriptures and Christian faith
- to disciple students through mentoring relationships
Our Youth Ministry consists of two principal environments: Youth Connect and Reach Events. Each of these environments, along with our Worship Services, is thoughtfully designed to help form well-rounded disciples of Jesus.
Youth Connect
Youth Connect happens on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. at our location. Students are taught from Scripture about important, age-specific topics that will help them ground themselves in God’s truth and experience his goodness. These lessons are taught in a discussion format to encourage the students to share questions, concerns, experiences, and insights and build a sense of community.
Reach Events
Reach Events brings the students together monthly for fun, engaging activities to build and strengthen their friendships within the group and, especially, to encourage them to invite friends from outside the group who may not know Jesus. Reach Events are always a favorite, from cookouts to game nights to Christian concerts and even service projects!
A Safe Place
Safety is one of our values. Our leaders must all pass a criminal background check, undergo an interview with the Director and/or the Pastor, and work within established safety policies.
